CAIS Director Professor Amin Saikal is hosting a roundtable discussion on
‘Islam and the status of women in the Arab world’
as part of the inaugural Australia-Arab Women Dialogue
color:#333333;mso-bidi-language:AR-SA;font-weight:normal">The Dialogue brings to Australia emerging women leaders from Egypt, Morocco, Lebanon, Jordan, the Palestinian Territories, Iraq, the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The women delegates are from diverse backgrounds and are making significant contributions to their emerging societies. They all occupy positions of leadership in areas such as the media, human rights, politics, NGOs, business, film-making and medicine.
